Slime Miner 2
Slime Miner 2 was a controversial follow-up to the illegal speedgame Slime Miner that had previously released for the SICK. However, the game took a completely different direction - a puzzle game.
The game caused confusion among many fans on release, who expected the game to be significantly more similar to Slime Miner, which had a much faster pace. Many felt that it would have been much more appropriate for this "sequel" to be considered a spinoff explicitly, with a title like "Slime Miner: Puzzle".
This confusion also led to rumors of a "lost Slime Miner sequel" which has, to date, not surfaced. But matters were further complicated by the release of Slime Miner DX - many, again, expected a true sequel to the original Slime Miner, but were disappointed yet again, as for some reason Slime Miner DX was actually a direct sequel to Slime Miner 2, and was, again, a puzzle game.
Through the dedicated work of our restoration efforts, both puzzle games in the Slime Miner series are now playable on modern hardware, with 50+ puzzles available in each title!
HOW TO PLAY:
The HazRat will move in a direction until hitting a hole or another object!
To mine a slime, slam into it from a distance! Green slimes will splat in one slam, leaving you standing on the same spot your enemy was. Slimes with more eyes require more mining to splat - if there's room behind one, you'll push them one tile and end up where they started, but if there isn't room, you'll be stopped in your tracks!
WASD or arrow keys can be used on keyboard, with Z to undo a move and R to reset. Space can be used to select puzzles from the menu.
On controller, X will undo a move, Y will reset, and A will select puzzles from the menu.
BUGS:
Currently some puzzles do not load properly in the WebGL version. If you load into a bad puzzle, you can open the menu with Start, B, or Esc and select the following puzzle. If you had not previously loaded a puzzle successfully, you will need to restart the game. Playing the Windows build is recommended.
