Slime Miner DX
Slime Miner DX was a direct sequel to the controversial Slime Miner 2 for the SICK, adding an additional puzzle element: crumble tiles, which become impassable holes after crossing over them once. However, neither you or a slime can come to a stop safely on these tiles either, or you'll fall in! This game adds over 50 more puzzles, all using this new mechanic.
After the initial naming confusion of Slime Miner 2, fans were not particularly thrilled about yet another awkward naming, but given the mysterious nature of the games' creator or creators, there wasn't much to do about it. Some in the community theorized it was intentionally opaque as a gag, but others more cynically thought it was a ploy to mislead people in a way that would sell more copies.
Through the dedicated work of our restoration efforts, both puzzle games in the Slime Miner series are now playable on modern hardware, with 50+ puzzles available in each title!
HOW TO PLAY:
The HazRat will move in a direction until hitting a hole or another object!
To mine a slime, slam into it from a distance! Green slimes will splat in one slam, leaving you standing on the same spot your enemy was. Slimes with more eyes require more mining to splat - if there's room behind one, you'll push them one tile and end up where they started, but if there isn't room, you'll be stopped in your tracks!
WASD or arrow keys can be used on keyboard, with Z to undo a move and R to reset. Space can be used to select puzzles from the menu.
On controller, X will undo a move, Y will reset, and A will select puzzles from the menu.
